Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our players and coaches. As the weather can quickly change, including field conditions/closures (if covered in snow) any cancellations will be made by 3:00pm at the latest. For game days, the call for cancellations will be made either early morning or the day before scheduled home games. Please refrain from emailing the club to ask about cancellations; if there is a cancellation, you will be notified via email by the Club.
While following these guidelines, the club will use its discretion for any weather-related cancellations.
The club will not be re-scheduling cancelled training sessions due to weather-related cancellations as these are unforeseen circumstances unless otherwise noted. At times, we do re-schedule games depending on the age group and the league their game schedule belongs to and the availability of fields/dates.
The club uses the Weather Network website for weather conditions. Decisions on cancellations are also based on “feels like temperature,” which accounts for wind speed, dew point, humidity, and sunlight. When viewing the temperature on the Weather Network; please ensure you are viewing the temperature in North Delta vs Delta, as the weather can vary from North Delta to South Delta.

Proper hydration is essential for player performance and for preventing heat and hydration-related illnesses. If players don’t drink enough fluids before, during, or after any sport, they may become dehydrated. Subsequently, they will not be able to keep their body as cool while playing a sport.
