U14-U18 Spring League – DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (INVITE ONLY)

NDFC is a non-profit soccer club offering inclusive, community-focused soccer programs for players of all ages and skill levels. Our club is primarily volunteer-run, with Coaches, Age Group Coordinators, and Team Managers playing key roles. Registration fees help cover essential costs such as field rentals, equipment, uniforms and general club operations. While fees do not cover a dedicated staff coach for each team, they do support on-field technical oversight and development through our staff coaching team, who provide guidance and support to teams.

The Spring Development Program is only offered to players in the Fall/Winter Development program.  You can not register for this program unless your child played in the Fall/Winter Development Program.   If there is an spot available on a Development Team, a recreational player may be invited to the program.

Our under 14 to under 18 age Development groups falls under our youth development phase in our player development model. Our development programs have two training sessions per week with a volunteer coach and a game on the weekend. The focus within the club program is to ensure our players learn lifelong lessons of discipline, resiliency, core values and compete at a more competitive level than our club program. We focus on the holistic development of our players through the 4 corners of development which are Technical, Tactical, Psychological/Psychosocial and Physical. On the technical front we are looking at dribbling skills, 1v1 attacking and defending, passing and receiving, striking the ball, and 1v1 skills/moves, crossing and finishing, 1v1 and small group defending. Tactically we are moving into the 11v11 game and will work on systems of play and learning to compete.   U14-U18 teams will play 11v11.

Players are placed on teams with volunteer coaches which are overseen by Staff Coaches.

Player are required to have shin pads and cleats for all training sessions and games.

Players must not use equipment or wear anything that is dangerous on game days.  All items of jewellery (necklace, rings, bracelets, earrings, leather bands, rubber bands, etc) are forbidden and must be removed.  Using tape to cover jewellery is not permitted.  Jewellery Policy can be found HERE.

The deadline to register is December 15, 2025.  If you do not register  by the deadline date, you will not be considered for a spring development team.   Once registration has closed, the Spring Development teams will be finalized and families will be notified in February.

Please note, that all schedules/programs are subject to changes at any time.

VOLUNTEER COACHES & TECHNICAL SUPPORT:

Our teams are coached by volunteers, mainly parents, and each team requires at least two parent coaches to ensure a great experience for our players.  Volunteer coaches will receive a 20% discount on their child’s registration fee (max 2 coaches per team).

To support our volunteer coaches, our Technical Director provides a weekly coaching curriculum complemented by technical oversight from our staff coaches on the field during training sessions.  The level of oversight is tailored to each coach’s experience – those with more experience may require less on-field guidance, while newer coaches may receive additional support to help them succeed.

REGISTRATION FEE (opens December 1st, 2025):
